1987 James L. Turnipseed (Jim) started Turnipseed Lumber, a sole proprietorship. He sold lumber and Simpson Strong Tie products to general contractors while he worked for Dobbins Forest Products, Moore Lumber, and McKinney Wholesale. |

1991 Jim starts selling Simpson Strong Tie products by himself with an office in his basement. Most of these products went into restaurants like Olive Garden. |

1994 Hired first full-time employee, Sharon Fitzhugh, as bookkeeper. |

1995 Supplied first structural steel to Chili's. |
|
|
1996 Hired John Penuel to handle steel. Jim Visited Sujit Kumar in Bangalore for first work with venture in India |

1997 Moved from Jim's basement to Cahaba Valley Road and hired Leith Martin and Jay Walters in June, then Carol Walker in August. |

1998 We hired one more sales engineer Mark Turner and continue to grow the business. We hired John Hogue to help us on a part time basis communicating with Sujit Kumar. We have worked with Sujit Kumar in Bangalore India using him for detailing. Leith Martin went to India in April of 1998.   In June of 1998 we request to change the name of the Corporation from Turnipseed Lumber, Inc. to Turnipseed International Inc. The Secretary of State approve the name change effective at midnight June 30, 1998. |

1999 In May of 1999 Sudharshan Detailing opened its office. Ben McIntyre was hired. |

2000 Turnipseed International, Inc. moved its business to the old library building on Hwy. 280. Chuck Cothren was hired. Angela Foster was hired. |

2001 Sharon Fitzhugh resigned to pursue a career in web design in January and returned in April. Her talents were missed. She sold her stock to the company.  Keith Thomas left to pursue his wife's career.  Leith Martin began purchasing stock.  Leith Martin was elected President, Jim Turnipseed became the Chairman of the Board |

2002 In October of 2001 Sudharshan moved to No. 241, 24th Main; J.P. Nagar, 5th Phase; Bangalore, India 560078; .  In December of 2001 Sudharshan resigned from Tata. |

2003 Carol Walker left to pursue other opportunities |

2004 Leith Martin completed buying his stock.  In November of 2003 we started working with Case Engineered Lumber. |

2005 Angela Foster left following Hurricane Charlie. |

|
2006 Hurricane Katrina occurred, and several employees assisted in rebuilding New Orleans and the surrounding Gulf area. Wiley Turnipseed and J.K. Turnipseed took a crew to put blue tarps on homes. |

2007 Leith, Jim, Sudharshan, and Sajith started Turnipseed Accounting. Sajith was elected President.  August 2006, sold 1/2 Sudharshan Detailing to Case Engineered Lumber.  Angela Foster returned.  Turnipseed International decided to go into the framing business. We hired Bill Hall to try this venture, but it did not work well. We entered into a joint venture with JMM Construction of McDonough Georgia on several restaurants. We have been estimating the lumber in Bengaluru in Sudharshan's office. Started using McGraw Hill Information services to market to the commercial multi-family market |
